  I was at the VI on Friday, June 12 with my wife and her parents. The three of them had very enjoyable meals (after a too long wait for a restaurant with empty tables on a Friday evening). My meal, on the other hand, was inedible. I had a very basic 1/2 lb cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato that I ordered medium well along with the fresh cut fries. After the aforementioned long wait I received my meal. The 1/2 lb patty had burned char-broiled marks and had shrunk to somewhere between a McDonald's 1/4 lb and one of their regular hamburger patties. It had passed the point of medium well at about the time it should have arrived at the table in the first place. The two tomato slices were silver dollar size and thickness and limp. The lettuce had passed its prime days before our arrival. The fresh cut fries were abundant... and room temperature. I can ignore over long waits if the business is crowded. They were not. I can ignore questionable food quality if they are very busy. They were not. People who arrived after us received their meals in 1/4 the time it took us. Oh yes, the over priced draft beer that my wife and I had ordered (two different brands) was...wait for it...warmer than the fries. In closing I can say that our DOGS did seem to enjoy my almost untouched meal. One star is too good for my experience. Signed, Never Again!!
  
  P.S. Did I say anything to anyone? No, first of all with an hardly touched meal it should have prompted "was there something wrong with your meal?" and secondly, with an establishment that has been in business for decades it should not be necessary to point out the fact that "If I would not eat it myself why should I expect someone else to????????????????"

  Great place. Great beer, great staff. Everyone is friendly, except when you get the occasional rich brat talking crap so loud the whole place can hear.

  Awesome, delicious place!! My friend & I took our kids and they loved it too! The VI mac 'n cheese with andouille sausage is exquisite. Wish the Village Inn would open a place in Dublin, OH.
